Overview

Independent brewery Wiper and True approached UES to design a background heating solution for their new Bristol taproom that aligned with the company’s sustainability goals. The system needed to provide consistent customer comfort while avoiding the use of gas-fired equipment.

Following a detailed heat loss assessment, we identified the load requirements for the space. They worked closely with the client to improve insulation, reduce energy demand, and improve overall efficiency.

Solution

UES specified and installed a 40kW electric warm air heater by Spaceray, chosen for its reliable performance and suitability for commercial hospitality environments. The heater required a substantial electrical supply, drawing 59 amps per phase on a three-phase system, a significant consideration for the building’s infrastructure.

Our electrical and mechanical teams managed the installation, from supply routing and cabling to commissioning and testing. Coordination with the brewery team ensured minimal disruption to operations and full compliance with safety and performance standards.
