An air source heat pump installation for UWE

Overview

UES completed an Air Source Heat Pump installation on behalf of Graham in Spring 2022. We planned and executed the installation process, taking into consideration the specific requirements of the gym showers and the overall sustainability goals of the university.

By replacing the colorifiers (fed by gas boilers), UWE were taking another significant step towards reducing their carbon emissions and embracing a greener energy source.

 

What was the solution?

Throughout the installation, UES engineers worked closely with UWE staff to ensure that all necessary adjustments were made to accommodate the new system seamlessly.

The removal of the calorifiers and the installation of new pipework and electrical wiring were carried out with utmost precision, guaranteeing a smooth transition to the more sustainable heating solution.
